Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Reputly is built to use the bare minimum of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party marketing pixels. This page lists exactly what we store and why.
1. What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| reputly_session | Essential cookie | Keeps you signed in securely (httpOnly). | Session or 30 days if “stay signed in” |
| reputly_org | Essential cookie | Remembers which workspace you’re viewing (multi-org users). | Session |
| theme | Local storage | Remembers your light/dark preference. | Until cleared |
| reputly_remember | Local storage | Remembers your “stay signed in” choice on this device. | Until cleared |
2. Why there’s no cookie banner
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive, consent is only required for non-essential cookies. Everything above is strictly necessary to run the Service or is a local preference you set yourself — none of it tracks you or is shared with advertisers — so no consent pop-up is required.
3. Third-party processors
Some subprocessors we use (for payments and error monitoring) may set their own strictly-necessary cookies only when that feature runs — for example Stripe during checkout (fraud prevention). We do not control those and they are used solely to deliver the feature you requested. See the subprocessor list in our Privacy Policy.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential cookies above will sign you out and prevent the app from working, but you can still browse the public site.
